Neoprene Rubber Types and Properties



Neoprene rubber is a type of synthetic rubber which is effective and flexible to stretch. This rubber is durable and resistant to water and chemicals. Rubber sheets made up of neoprene is available in different colours and thickness. 

Different kinds of neoprene rubber are used in manufacturing sheets for industrial purposes. Some of them to be listed here are,

Perforated Neoprene Rubber is otherwise called as breathable rubber whereas plain rubber is also known as smooth kind of raw neoprene. Each rubber has specific properties. Perforated neoprene is used for the production of medical braces. Softer and flexible nature of Polyurethane foam can be used for cushions, pillows, packaging material, acoustic and medical equipment.
Since neoprene rubber is a waterproof and stretchy as well as a good insulator; neoprene can be bonded together or stitched together too. Further it is used to make lunch bags, mobile phone covers, gloves and vehicle seat covers.
